Sneak Peek

Christmas is fast approaching and before you know it, the New Year will be behind us. Next year is shaping up to be a busy year for Catherine Daisy Interiors, Inc. With over a dozen models coming up, our team has already been selecting colorful fabrics, beautiful furniture, and clever accessories.

CDI is installing two models in January 2015. We are so excited to share our ideas with you. The color palettes are fresh and fun, and we can't wait to bring them together in room-to-room harmony. Here's a sneak peek of our selections and we hope you enjoy what we have in store.

Trending Now

A lot of thought and preparation go into each space at Catherine Daisy Interiors, and planning usually begins months ahead of an installation. CDI designs model homes from the ground up, which means that in addition to choosing everything from master bathroom tiles to lighting fixtures, we also decide how to furnish a house as lovely on the inside as it is on the outside. Our CDI team makes sure we stay on top of current design trends and we love to find new ways to implement fresh, new styles for our clients. Our goal is to deliver a seamless and elegant design that looks like it fell into place with little to no effort. Easy, right?

As the holidays draw near, many of you will welcome friends and family into your home. In addition to all the to-dos on your list, creating an inspiring space for you and your guests can be overwhelming. So in order to alleviate some of your design dilemmas, our team at CDI put together a list of our favorite trends that will make your home stand out this season!

Countertops:

If you crave a sleek and polished countertop, granite and marble are still front runners and quartz comes in second. There are hundreds of patterns to choose from, each one unique and fitting to any taste.

Colors:

Make your space noticeable by mixing vivid colors together. For example, Greek blue is a hip accent color that adds a burst of personality to any spot. Layer colorful pillows with a throw on your sofa, or incorporate a vibrant picture frame onto a table for an instant pop of character to your space.  

Cabinetry:

Are you trying to brighten up a dark room? White cabinets provide a fresh, clean feel to kitchens, bathrooms, and closets. With white, you aren’t limited to a certain color so anything goes!

Flooring:

Today’s trend in hardwood flooring is “lightly scraped with the grain”. This look is so versatile and works with almost every style you have in your home.

Accents:

CDI is mad for metallic! Your space will shine (literally!) when you place these trendy accents into any room. Metallic can be integrated in many forms and textures such as frames, mirrors, wall art, trays, and fabrics. Play around with different ideas and have fun!

Ohhhhh and don’t look the other way! Are you ready for this? Brushed BRASS. Yes, brass. It’s back! Lighting, hardware, nail heads, and decorative décor are all leaning toward this chic new trend.

Ceilings:

Don’t forget to look up! Beams and millwork are all the rage right now. Painted or stained, with a hint of accent paint between the woodwork will dress up any room.

Paint:

GRAY. This color is the hottest neutral and it is here to stay. Gray is right up there with the forever “beige” and offers up a super backdrop to any room. Masculine or feminine, couches or walls, gray is hot.

Windows:

Turn your house into a welcoming home by revamping your windows with custom decorative panels that bring in softness and color. Set a foundation that tie in all of the elements by layering beautiful fabric onto your windows and you’ll have the framework for a captivating and inviting room.

It has been a wonderfully busy season for Catherine Daisy Interiors, Inc since my last blog update (embarrassed to say it was June of 2012). We have designed and furnished 4 models with over 25,000 square footage combined and work some amazing privates clients and their homes. Here is a look behind the front doors of our projects.
